My story
On 15 July 2019 my life changed without warning: I had an ischemic stroke caused by a carotid artery dissection, which left me with left-sided spastic hemiparesis. That was the beginning of a demanding physical and emotional rehabilitation.
Sport became the engine of my recovery. In 2022 I completed a marathon again — a symbol of resilience and perseverance.
Today I share my story from the rebuilding: a diagnosis does not define your future. With purpose, support and determination it is always possible to move forward. 42K is how I live.

Running does not always begin at a starting line; very often it begins in recovery. In my case, running became a tool for physical and emotional rehabilitation after a stroke.

Every training session is discipline, patience and trust in the process. Through movement I learned to reconnect with my body, strengthen my mind and turn challenges into chances to grow.

There were people who walked more than my kilometres — they shaped the way I understand life. This space exists because some of them are still running with me, only differently now.
